Amman, March 26 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II and Ethiopia Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed discussed current developments in the region during a phone call on Thursday.

His Majesty emphasised the importance of stepping up international efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region through dialogue and diplomatic channels, reiterating the need to put an end to Iranian aggression against Arab states.

For his part, the Ethiopian prime minister condemned Iran’s attacks on Jordan and a number of countries in the region.

The King also expressed his condolences to Prime Minister Ahmed over the victims of the landslides and floods in Ethiopia’s Gamo Zone, wishing a speedy recovery to those injured.
